What is an E-statement?

It is an electronic version of the paper statement you receive in the mail. It looks exactly like your paper statement except it’s black and white.

Why would I want to receive an E-statement?

There are several reasons. E-statements arrive sooner than a paper statement. They cut down the amount of paperwork you have to manage because you can store copies on your PC. They reduce the amount of mail you’ll receive. They will also save a tree or two as more members sign up for E-statements.

Can I receive a paper statement as well as an E-statement?
No. You can either receive a paper statement or an e-statement. You cannot receive both.

Is there a fee or charge for E-Statements?
Yes. Effective June 1, 2010, members joining Synergy One on or after June 1, 2010 will be charged a fee of $5 per monthly paper statement and $5 per quarterly paper statement if they chose not to sign up for Electronic Statements. This fee does not apply to those who were members prior to June 1, 2010.

Is my E-statement secure and safe?
Yes. Your statement is stored behind firewalls and is transmitted to your Internet browser using 128-bit encryption. It can only be accessed with your Security Code, that only you know.

When will my E-statement be available?
Your E-statement will be available by the 3rd day after the month ends.

Can I get my E-statement e-mailed to me instead?
No. E-mail is not secured.

How do I sign up for E-statements?
Click on the "E-statement" link located on the right side of our home page. Complete the Sign Up form and then click Submit. We will send an e-mail confirming your request within 1 business day.

Do I need any special PC set up to receive E-statements?

No. You just need a PC, modem, and Internet connection. We recommend that your Internet browser be one of the following:

  • Netscape Communicator 4.7 or above
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.1 or above (128 bit-encrypted)
  • American Online 32 bit encrypted version 4.0 or above
