Dear Synergy One Members:

Heltzel Mortgage became a part of Synergy One FCU in October 2001 and have helped thousands of members with their home financing needs over those years. Recent regulatory changes and increased liability to the credit union has become an issue in 2009 as the industry changes daily and our ability to operate as a small mortgage banking firm has become difficult. With this in mind, the decision was made to close Heltzel-Synergy One Mortgage within Synergy One Financial Services, LLC in 2010. This decision was not an easy one as the mortgage division has been profitable in 2009. Synergy One Financial Services, LLC will remain an entity providing Insurance products as well as investment options.

Heltzel Mortgage will now operate independent of Synergy One FCU but will continue to offer mortgage products and excellent customer service to the members in a relationship arrangement with Synergy One FCU similar to their relationship with Nationwide Insurance. This will provide the best of both worlds – service to our members and less liability to the credit union for regulatory and economic issues. You will still be able to reach us at 703-368-9248 or on the web at www.newjerseymortgagebrokers.com and you can expect the same level of service that we have provided since we started our business in 1965.

It has been my pleasure to serve the membership as President of Synergy One Financial Services, LLC . I wish all of our members a Happy New Year and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Synergy One Federal Credit Union.
